IMG 1845-HDR(3)  This is the "fort" at what is now Pipe Springs National Monument in northern AZ.  This was the place of significant skirmishs between the Paiute Indiams, Early Mormon settlers and the US government.  We had an extremely interesting visit with a tour guide who was a Paiute. IMG 1873-HDR(3) IMG 1868  BobF and Joe IMG 1866  The fort - it never was used for defense.  But it was used as place where morman men hid their harems in the days before Utah became a state. IMG 1879-HDR(3)  The fort was built to surround some springs (only on intermittent one still flows)
